Hip hop and R&B go beyond rock and roll to become the largest music school in America

In 2017, according to Nielsen reported music, hip-hop and R&B rock ‘n’ roll, for the first time become the nation’s largest music genre, but British artist Ed Sheeran romantic pop album “Divide” is this year’s biggest single.
According to nelson music’s 2017 annual list, eight of the top 10 albums are from rap or R&B world, including Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN, Drake’s More Life and Bruno Mars’ 24K Magic. End the report.

Vinyl sales have soared for the 12th year in a row, up 9% in 2017, especially among older fans. The best-selling vinyl record is The Beatles sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club band, reissued by The 50th anniversary, and Abbey Road, released by The British band in 1969.
